Born in 1964, Dennis Martire‘s path in life led him to West Virginia Wesleyan College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in government in 1986. During his formative years, he was an active member of Local Union #1058 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Little did Martire know at the time that his career would become intricately tied to labor unions and the advocacy for workers’ rights across the mid-Atlantic area. Nevertheless, that is precisely the journey he embarked upon.
In April 1990, Dennis Martire made a significant move by joining the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA) as an international representative specializing in jurisdictional disputes. His dedication and unwavering commitment to the cause propelled his career forward. In 2002, Martire achieved a milestone by being elected as the vice president and regional manager for the mid-Atlantic region, following a two-year tenure as the assistant regional manager. Presently, he continues his relentless pursuit of laborers’ rights within the framework of LIUNA, a testament to his enduring dedication to the cause.
